Powerbeats Pro 2 is our first-ever product to feature heart rate monitoring sensors. And they’re hyper-accurate.
Precision-crafted LED optical sensors pulse light over a hundred times per second to measure your heart rate. All this can be relayed to your favorite fitness apps in real time.
With iPhone, you can also access a new workout experience in the Fitness app: track your heart rate and calories burned across a range of up to 50 different workouts, including walking, cycling, HIIT and more.6
And of course you can turn heart rate monitoring off whenever you want.

The playlist consisted of 358 unique audio tracks purchased from the iTunes Store (256-Kbps AAC encoding). Volume was set to 50% and Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency were turned off. Testing consisted of full Powerbeats Pro 2 battery discharge while playing audio until the first Powerbeats Pro 2 earbud stopped playback. With ANC turned on, total battery life is 8-hours of continuous playback from the earbuds and 36 hours total with the case. Battery life depends on device settings, environment, usage, and many other factors.
