I'm a huge Beats fan and I love their headphones but the executives have been a bit of a miss. The noise-cancelling comes with a strong hiss in the background but it is only noticeable if you are listening to quieter music rather than something louder like rap, electronic, rock, etc. Some people say that they get used to the hissing but it's hard to adjust unless you wear them 24/7. They are extremely durable, comfortable, and also flexible which can be a hard combo to find. It comes at a price though. And not just the $300. Because they are so heavy due to the aluminum alloy, you can sometimes feel them on top of your head while you are listening to music. I would recommend wearing a beanie or some other hat like that to help. The leather on the headphones is also a big plus but they cause light sweating around the ears. And to be honest i find myself taking them off for a couple minutes after about an hour or so because my ears start to feel hot. I just got these for my birthday but I am thinking about finding a different pair. The best choice right now is the Sennheiser hd 240 pros because they are light, comfortable, and deliver equal if not better sound quality than that Beats Executives. This is hard for me because I don't want to wear anything other than Beats but I want comfort, noise-cancelling, sound quality, and a fairly low price. I would recommend trying them on at a store like Apple where you can wear them for about 20 minutes and then decide if you want them. I just walked in and bought them and I am fairly disappointed because these were supposed to be the next generation of Beats Audio. I am however recommending this product because you can always return them if you buy them and I think that they are good enough to give them a chance. I will most likely be returning mine and I am saddened by that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CaptainSparklez It all depends
The Beats Executive gave me extreme comfort and did not offer bulk and weight like the Beats Pros did. The sound quality all depends on how you are going to use it. In a way, these have great base but they do overpower the overall sound. The noise cancellation is absolutely horrible. Their is this very loud hissing sound that could be heard at low volumes. The durability of the Executives are okay. The do break easily but if you're careful these will last you fairly long. Also, these headphones do not leak sound a lot so that's a plus. So, overall, I would recommend these but if you can get the Bose QuietComfort 15.

Outstanding mids and highs but the bass is lacking in the low end frequencies. Great for those who don't want the aggressiveness of bass without the flashy looks. Noise canceling circuit is terribly loud and ruins the listening experience. Gets warm on the ears shortly after putting them on and not as comfortable as the Beats Studio. I wish the brand printed on the top of the headband stated "Beats By Dr. Dre" like all the other Beats headphones instead of just "Beats" only. Cable needs to be black instead of red.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hunter Amazing sound quality!
It's an amazing pair of headphones. The only issue I have had is that when they are turned on and plugged in, but not playing anything, there is a small fuzzing sound. But still great headphones! So that's just me being picky.

These being my first pair of Beats they're amazing! The design of the Executive compared to the others is very unique. If you're looking for a pair thats a little different then everyone else's beats grab a pair of these! You'll be really impressed with the sound quality especially if you're into the hip-hop and dance genres, they're especially exceptional with those types of music. Something really sweet about these is the active noise cancelation, with a switch the noise around you disappears, and the Beats logo on the right side is a button for you to push if you want to stop the sound from the headphones. Especially nice when someone interrupts you. I'm really happy with my pair and these will most definitely not be my last.

The sound is great, but the noise cancellation is very loud, creating a buzz.

These were my first beats and the first time I tried them I was wowed. When you turn on the noise cancellation and play your music it just feels like there is nothing else in the world. Sometimes I fall asleep with these on because they are unbelievably comfortable. I listen to a lot of rap and the voices are so clear.
Cons: Heavy, Not too loud, small lack in bass, noise canceling MUST always be on, battery life is weak (about 12-15 hours)
Despite all the cons this product is still worth the buy. There is no better value on the website than right here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bornsinner Great headphones
I got my beats executive in late April for my 14th birthday and i must say that they have a lot of pros but also have a few cons. For starters , the durability of these headphones is great , i've had them for about 4 months and haven't noticed a single scratch on them and they still work and look brand new; and i must add that i use them daily . Next would be the look of the headphones , the look of these headphones are great in my option . I must say that they are the most professional looking beats . Now on to the comfort , they are the most comfortable beats that i own . I can wear them for hours without any pain or stress on my ears and they just feel fantastic on my head. Now on to the cons ..... They lack bass! Well dont get me wrong , they still give u bass , but its a complete different kind of bass than what the other beats products offer . Its not that overwhelming bass that the studios or the solos offer . The sound quality of the executives are more like the pros , but the pros still offer a much more clearer and crisper sound . Another con would be that they take batteries. dont get me wrong , the battery life is pretty decent but constantly having to buy batteries is annoying. But i must add that even when your battery life is low , the sound quality is still the same which is great! another issue people have with these headphones it the hiss from the active noise cancellation, but in my option its really not a problem because u cant even hear it when your music is playing . Another down side to them is that they only come in two colors; But they are suppose to look more professional so i dont think they would really look good in bright colors anyway. Also on the silver ones like i have , the wire is red which kind of throws off the look of them . But they fixed this issue when they released the black color executives that come with a black cord which is why i prefer those ones over the silver ones. In closing , i must say that these headphones offer a lot more pros than cons and i would recommend this headphones to almost any music lover but if you do prefer the deep bass , try the studios or the solos.

I feel like i've had these long enough to write a review so here it goes. The design is almost impeccable, the sound is good but is lacking in bass. I can only wear them for around two hourse before my ears start to hurt. The only thing I can complain about though are the battery life and the hissing noise in the background because of the noise cancellation.
