Rated 1 out of 5 by Sound great, durability is horrible!!!! This product definitely puts out good sound, which is what makes me disappointed. The construction is pretty bad. The controller is the biggest problem. I spend a lot of time in the gym and I'm also an avid runner. The controller freaks out after about 20 minutes of working out. It makes the music stop playing and/or activates voice control which also stops music play. Its also hit or miss whether volume control works. It stinks because I really want to like these headphones. Maybe if you don't plan on using this product for physical activities (which is what they claim to be designed for) you will be alright. Otherwise you will be better off spending $20 on a pair of sports headphones at [...]At least they don't stop your music spontaneously! January 2, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible construction/durability Purchased boxing day, from [...]. Loved them for about a week, on the way to gym for the first time with these (bus) left bud cut out. Fiddling with the left wire near the control talk remedied the problem till I moved my head, then it cut out again. Ruined an entire workout session. Returning ASAP for another brand, beware. Side note: wire looked like it was wearing out near the 3.5 mm connector piece and would have broken too. I am a gentle user, never had earbuds break on me before, including stock iPhone pair for 2 years. January 5, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor construction. I was disappointed after about 4 weeks of use when the left ear phone died, due to a broken wire inside the sleeve at the point it connects with the headphone jack. I'm a runner and need something more durable than this. Can't believe they market the earphones for sport use. January 16, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Pretty dissapointing Well, i compared it with my Android headphones from my Google Nexus One and the conclusion was that there was absolutely no sound difference ! Compared to the Tour, which gave lots of Bass, this one gives it hardly. I'm gonna to get my money back, because this is a huge waste. To anyone who wants in-ear phones, i suggest the tour instead of this fail. January 17, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Every Beat headphone is broken I got this to christmas last year. I was very happy because of the great bass and the fantastic sound. But after 2 weeks the left bud lost connection and the right didnt play any music. I was shocked, because i bought a solo hd before... and there was the same problem. They replaced the broken solo hd, but the next one was broken too!!! I couldnt believe that. After they sent the headphones in [...] Then I got a Studio. Im very happy with the Studio but there is the problem with the loose connection too. Perhaps you now think im a lil bit stupid, because i had this wish for christmas, but you know... if you ever heard to a beats headphone, you never would listen to another one...Greetings from Switzerland January 27, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sound is Awesome,Quality is Subpar I've given up on these. I've been through 3 pair since Dec 14 of 2010. I take very good care of ALL of my audio equipment but no matter what there no saving these pair from total destruct. Dre. Dropped the ball with this set on simple stuff. First off is the 3 prong connection in which it plugs into the set. The adapter piece is entirely too long and draws a lot of unwanted physical attention to it like a antenna. Second is the transition of the cable from a solid state to a limp soft cable. The cable cannot take friction (which defeats the purpose of these being for GYM useThey tend to react as a twist tie does when moving it back and forth a short time ( 3 days to a week) before they short out. They should have used a shorter connector post or a l shape connector as well a more durable cable (like a Teflon coating like on the V-moda vibe type II. I don't know what more to say...The headset as far as sound is Great but the fun is short lived. I hated having to give them back but... Recommendation is to go in every month and trade up for a new set to make sure this doesn't happen to you!!!! Sorry Dre. but I have to speak the truth in hopes of you guys rectifying this issue in future releases. If you do so I will buy another set!!! February 20, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not worth the money! I have used them twice, and the voice control now has a mind of its own (iphone4). As I am on treadmill the ipod will fast forward/skip to next/start again...constantly. Very poor for the price. February 27, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Great Sount/Poor Quality I used the product for the gym and was intially impressed with the sound and the appearence of quality. After about a month one of the headphones started to give out. Once I did some research online I discovered many individuals experienced an issue with the headphones due to the quality of the product. The warranty is pointless when they begin to malfunction so soon after purchase. I really enjoyed the style and sound but for [$] there is alot more to be desired inrespect to quality. March 1, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by NOT FOR EXERCISE The sound is unreal, however i bought them to exercise. once the slightest bit of moisture (mostly from sweating) gets into the click control it shorts and pauses itself and raises lowers volume randomly. By making a homemade moisture barrier it lasted a bit longer, 2 months at 4x/week use before the left earpiece completely shorted out. I traded it in under warrenty and the new pair does the same thing. WORTHLESS. Im taking them back and getting Bose. March 2, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Amazing Sound, Awful Build Once I got these headphones, I couldn't take them off. They were just amazing. However the joint between the 3.5mm jack and the cable itself is absolutely terrible. Extremely fragile. Mines came defected (shape wise) and soon enough the right earphone stopped working (sometimes does depending on the position of the cable towards the joint). March 4, 2011
