When I unboxed my first beat studio, I was im love. Later on, i wanted to have a portable good speaker. After reading a lot of reviews and going with my heart, i choosed the pill, lightweight, good looking and it have descent sound quality. If you are like me and listen only dubstep, i realy don't recommend the pill. After 2 month of listening dubstep 2 of the 4 speaker a blown. This is very frustrating because my iHome sounds better now. I highly recommend this portable speaker if you want to listen music with not a lot of bass and with not to high pitch sounds.

I've owned a red Beats pill since July 2013, and so far it hasn't let me down.
For a high price of 219.99$, you're getting what you're paying for. The amount of sound this thing produces, will amaze you. This pill can completely fill a large living room/kitchen with quality sound, no problem! The highs/mids are very clean and defined, and the bass is detailed but not very powerful. This speaker is perfect for a desktop speaker, as it's small, sleek, and it can be connected through the micro USB port to always keep its charge, and it includes an AUX cable.
Charging time takes around 4-6 hours, and so does the battery life. I'm glad that they include a micro usb cable, and a usb wall adapter so I can charge it on the go. The portability of this thing is wonderful, I've used the handy little clip numerous times to hook it onto my laptop bag while travelling.
Most of the time, I use the pill in my room in the morning to crank some tunes while getting ready for work, or I'll take it over to a friends house for the night while gaming. I havn't used the built in microphone often, but I've had no issues with mic quality whatsoever while skyping so far. The handy little "b" button (which is an LED) also acts as a Pause button, so you can pause your music quickly without fumbling in your pocket for your iPod.
A few issues some people have been experiencing is the hiccuping of the bluetooth. This is not a speaker issue, and more of a bluetooth compatability issue with later IOS devices. It's not as bad as most people say, as the only time I'll experience a slight distortion/hiccup is when I'm walking around the area with my iPod in my pocket. Other then that, this speaker is simply amazing whether your sitting outside on the deck, at a sleepover, on a desktop computer, travelling, or just chilling in the living room on a warm winter night, the beats pill gets my approval.
If there was one thing I'd want to change with this speaker, is the audio output port on it.. It's great if you're using the pill as the bluetooth receiver, and you have it hooked up to some other audio equipment. But I'd like to have the ability to link 2 pills together, to get more of a stereo separation. Hopefully Beats adds that feature sooner or later, to make this pill perfect!
