Rated 1 out of 5 by Do NOT buy these headphones These headphones are absolutely terrible if you plan on actually using them. Sound is great but construction quality is horrendous. They held together for about 2 months then snapped at the top, along with thousands of other people, simply by putting them on your head. Do not waste 180 dollars like we did. Go get some quality made head phones. February 25, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Put Together Headphone On Market! These headphones are poorly constructed, they are almost guaranteed to break in the first 1 to 3 months of owning them. The sound is ok, not great. But both on the studios and solo's the design almost seems like it was designed to break apart. Very cheaply made and way over priced for the quality, i promise if you buy these headphones you will regret it. March 17, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by SNAP I bought the black studio headphones for traveling and at work when I'm stabbing away at my keyboard. All I was doing was removing them to talk with a co-worker and they snapped right above the hindge. For the price I think this is very poor construction and know that others have had the same issue. Sound quality was great but they are a little hard to wear now. [...] April 5, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Headphones snapped simply puttin them on What the hell, I bought these after my friends' beats snapped, brushing it off as simply misuse. Nope! Mine snapped this morning trying to put them on.. search google for this issue and you'll find hundreds of problems as well. April 18, 2010

Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't buy! They sound Bad if you don't listen to hip hop and the plastic break for no reason, but the warranty works. June 17, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Fun to play with and customize, not kind to my ears though :( PLEASE READ AND NOTE THE FOLLOWING I listen to almost any edm music out there, from drum and bass, to moombahton, to dubstep, to hardstyle, to speedcore techno. Sound quality, they lacked in the bass frequencies. 80 hz and under, the mids about the range of a clap snare were EAR PIERCING!!!! and the highs like 7k hz on up were too prominent. Overall, not "what the artist intended" but they aren't as good as the $20 Sony MDR ZX100s although those particuar cans have MANY problems as well. But are also only 20 dollars. Price comparison wise the Skullcandy Aviators are a better buy if you like name brand things and better still, you could almost buy 2 pairs of Audio Technica ATH M50s for that price. Durability, they aren't as strong as they claim to be but they weren't supposed to be turned into a soccer ball. Durability wise I will compare them to the $40 Sennheiser HD 202s, the 202s are most definately a good back-up soccer ball to have with you at all times. They dont look pretty but they can take a beating. Comfort, Very, very comfortable!!!!!! I love the earpads and as a whole the solos are really light. Totally 100% headbangable!!! Thats because they've got this rubber stuff on the inside of the headband that grips your hair, but doesnt pull it out. They won't get too uncomfortable for a long listening session, and i am a kid with glasses. Design, flawed. Hardcore. Well the ENTIRE structural assembly is made up of PLASTIC except the hinged part, the little "b" thing on the inside and a thin layer of metal around the earcup which can be snapped together and then in consequence, unsnapped apart. The rubber stuff on the inside of the top of the headband is great stuff though! I noticed that there were holes on the bottom of the inner ear cup that let sound in for a semi open back moniter but let out just enough sound that at about half volume I had kids dancing to my music just desks away from me. Also I was VERY dismayed when I learned that the "b" logo was just a metal "sticker". But they're very sleek and eye catching. I am not much a huge fan of the way they have the lower assembly held in by really tiny posts that are really easily popped out and therefore a cause of cord breakage and frayage. I recently obtained two pairs of solos for free cause you know, I'm cool like that, one set was thrown at the wall and shattered, the other one was just taken apart for fun. So I come to school the next day and play soccer with one pair and they broke. :( Then I played soccer wih my Sennheiser HD 202s. They held up pretty well and were still in one piece. Lol! So I put the black and red ones together and came up with a super sick mashup of the two. I personally rewired the ENTIRE set with a thicker gauge cord for less breakage. That was because the old wire was exposed in various different places. Then I loaded the Sennheiser HD 202 drivers in them just cause I was in the mood for a TRUE HD experience when it comes to sound. Then I took them to school the following day. I showed all of my friends what i did I got so many, "DUDE!!!!! WHAT DID YOU PUT IN THERE!?!?!?!?!?!?'s" And, "Those sound WAYYYYYYY better than the regular beats." And "those look SOOO cool! Where'd you get them?" Which my reply was, "I made them... In my bedroom." So I guess I conclude that my NOT! beats by dr. dre are wayyyyy better than the "cans" that comes out of the factory.
