Love the sound Don't like the construction. The entire top band is only plastic and when these go on your head trust me it is under stress.

Very good audio quality. But, it does get very uncomfortable during long duration of usage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by TiRiSh Not That Great
For me, the SOLO is the lowest quality of the beats by dr.dre heaphones line. The sound is not that great. Well it is still beats but we have better sound quality for this price (Heartbeats/Tour). Thing I really do like is the cable. That's all. Other advantage on the studio is it is lighter, easier to carry but, yes of course, sound matters hahaha I've got some problem with the ear cushions also. They get out easily. It's a real pain to put them back :/ I am planning on buying a set of SOLO HD hoping that the sound is MUCH better than on the SOLO.

by NJ to NYC commuter Headpiece broke in less than a year
I use my Solo's everyday during my commute to work. I love the high quality sound it produces, my music sounds better than before! The earpiece broke after 7 months of wearing it, and the headpiece snapped into two after 10 months of wearing it. I am very careful with my beats because I love them. I place it in its bag when not in use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sky the rocker great but flimsy
i used this constantly after i got it and after only about a month some of the padding on the top of my headset was falling off. Then some of the parts that held the ear pieces in fell out or broke. Then after a few months the snapped, by just a bump they snapped

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mary potter it was ok. not something worth the cost.
Okay, so I've been wanting a Dr. Dre headphones since 2009 when I first saw it on a Korean Music Video. I thought it looked AMAZING! But they used the Studios so I searched that up and saw the price and said "NO WAY!" Then I saw the Solos at Best buy for a lower price and started asking my brother for it. But it wasn't until Christmas 2010 that I got it from my mom. When I first opened the box, I was so careful in handling the headphones cause it did feel like it would break any second but it didn't. It's just that thought that it will cause I've seen so many reviews about it breaking on them and that scared me. When I tried it with my ipod, I wasn't so impressed with the music quality cause I was listening to a POP music that first try and I thought it was muddy. I tried different genres and it did sound AMAZING with anything with a lot of Bass. but not with electronic music.. which is a bummer cause I listen to a lot of those kinds. After two days, I finally got to use it for more than 2 hours straight and I didn't like the fact that it hurt my ear. I started feeling the pressure at that time. As much as I wanted to keep it with me, if my mom would spend [$]dollars, it HAS sound good with MY KIND OF MUSIC, it HAS to look good while I'm wearing it, and it SHOULDN'T hurt me cause I listen to music for long periods of time. It breaks my heart that I have to return it. I might exchange it for the Tours or iBeats. I wanted to get HeartBeats but the unusual shape is scaring me cause I have small ears. It might hurt too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Allison Good sound, broke after one day of use.
I was in love with the headphones when I first got them. The sound was amazing, and my techno/bassy music sounded great. Every song I thought I knew so well ended up sounding like a whole new song with all the background. But the left ear headphone goes out alot unless I really fiddle with the cord, so I might exchange them?
