Rated 2 out of 5 by Runner Not made for sweat
I'm very disappointed with these headphones. I only used them for running. At most, a little sweat got into the volume control, and it stopped working. Conveniently it happened right after the one year limited warranty expired. No support given by Beats. Very sad I paid $149.00 for these. Now I have to go back to using my Bose earphones, which still work properly after 4 years.

You must allow for the break in period. After they're broken in, awesome!

Rated 1 out of 5 by newrkv Where's the bass?
I used to have a pair of Powerbeats back when they first came out. I loved them, but they were stolen. I just bought a new pair last night, and the first thing I noticed when I opened it was to horribly poor design. They felt so cheap and plastic, like kids earphones. I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt on the poor design changes until I listened to them. It seems like the entire quality of the product was downgraded. The sound is cheap and no better than regular earbuds that come with phones these days. There is no bass and the sound is cheap and airy. I will be returning my Powerbeats and going with another product. Im upset that in the effort to update something, they made it worse.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ryno59 Sound Quality Not The Best
As Beats advertise their products, they put a lot of emphasis on "sound quality" and how the sound makes you feel like you're in the same room as your favorite singers. These Powerbeats I just received in the mail do not exceed my expectations when it comes to sound quality. The iPhone headphones that originally came with my phone sound better in my opinion. The higher i turn up the volume, the more static I hear in the music. What I do like about the Powerbeats though is their design and ability to stay in the ears without moving at all. The comfort level is alright but everything takes getting used to. I wish they had a higher quality in sound but overall I enjoy using them on my workouts. Will buy another pair of iPhone headphones soon for recreational use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Shinner13 Uncomfortable/Hurting my Ear
The PowerBeats is an "OK" earphone. The only reason i say this is because when i first bought this, it was fine until i used frequently and my ear started to hurt because of the product. The inside of my right ear had red marks and dents because of the earphones and it made it really uncomfortable for me to use. I tried to adjust it a lot and when it does get to an comfortable state, i couldn't use it for long because the pain came right back. Also the ear buds don't really go straight into your ear canal which doesn't cancel out the noise outside and makes you really turn up the volume to hear the music clearly. I like the design and it really doesn't come off your ear but other than that, it was uncomfortable for me and i was looking more of an earphone that goes really into your ear and cancels most of the outside noises and focus on the music more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Amber24 These earphones will NOT stay in my ears.
I have tried all of the interchangeable earbud selections and cannot get these to stay on my head or in my ears. I had to get a headband to hold them to my head. I am assuming that my ears are smaller than the average, and the part that holds the phones to the head is not adjustable and just way too big. Likely made for the average-sized man. Since I need a headband to hold them to my ears, they end up sitting awkwardly and hurting me. That being said, the sound is great and I hope to exchange these for a pair of headphones that are more compatible to me!

Rated 1 out of 5 by speedy2 Not Designed Well for athletes
Just had to return my third pair to the store yesterday. I am so disappointed in these earphones. Thought they would be the answer to my workout need for music and be able to take calls if I had to. But after one workout each pair of these earphones that I have exchanged(I've had the white ones and the black ones) stopped working correctly. The music still played but the push button control and the mike did not function correctly. I don't know if it is from sweat or all the movements from exercising but if they are going to be marketed to athletes then they need to be designed for athletes. We understand if things needs to be more robust so it can take the rigor of movement and sweating. Again I am really disappointed in these earphones and hope the design flaw would be fixed and someone will let me know when it is. at this time I cannot recommend these earphones especially for athletes that do a lot of sweating and movements during their workouts. Back to the drawing board......looking for a good workout earphone, any suggestions?

Rated 5 out of 5 by sophie101 Great earphones!!! stop the hate!
I don't understand why every one seems to hate on these headphones (and the beats line themselves). They have great sound, but don't seem to deliver on bass as well as other headphones. As for the durability they seem to hold up in many situations and the top part of the earphones are very flexible. The headphones are very comfortable and have multiple earpieces so you can adjust it to the size of your ear for maximum comfort. The design is very interesting and looks good when on your ear. These headphones are overall a great buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 2435Boy Awesome!! :D
These Powerbeats are Amazing!! :D you put them on and they don't fall out while your on the court doing the craziest moves!! They stay right on your ear! The music is amazing! You can hear every detail!! Even the bass! Although, one thing on the comfort.....at first When you put them on there very comfortable, But then after a while The end tip that hold your ear starts to dig into your ear and it hurts a bit and so you have to readjust. But besides that their great! I love em!! :DD

Rated 3 out of 5 by Schpenk Design Change? Manufacturing Change? Where'd the bass go?
II don't know what happened. I've heard people say there was too much bass and that's what I loved about them. I recently had to exchange the original black ones for another pair (the new line) and the bass went to sounding like my roommate's $50 earbuds. I'm just wondering if there was a change. Also, instead of an extension chord; maybe there should be a cover for the control talk so I don't have to go back for another pair; since a sweaty workout disables the functions...
I've been through several "Tours" and switched to Powerbeats. The first pair had amazing bass. The second; feels cheap. It could be me... Or just this pair. But I'm a little frustrated by this...
My left ear hurts from trying to obsessively adjust the buds to get the sound quality the original ones had.
I recommend a cover for the push buttons and go back to the original materials and design.
