Rated 1 out of 5 by Garbage I was so excited when I bought these, but they were really just garbage. From the getgo, the mic and volume control didn't work with my Droid or iPad. As time went on, one ear would intermittently cut in and out. Eventually that ear stopped working completely. I took the wire apart to replace the standard mini plug with a new one, but the wire inside is so tiny that it is nearly impossible to even strip the wire. April 25, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sound is Awesome,Quality is Subpar I've given up on these. I've been through 3 pair since Dec 14 of 2010. I take very good care of ALL of my audio equipment but no matter what there no saving these pair from total destruct. Dre. Dropped the ball with this set on simple stuff. First off is the 3 prong connection in which it plugs into the set. The adapter piece is entirely too long and draws a lot of unwanted physical attention to it like a antenna. Second is the transition of the cable from a solid state to a limp soft cable. The cable cannot take friction (which defeats the purpose of these being for GYM useThey tend to react as a twist tie does when moving it back and forth a short time ( 3 days to a week) before they short out. They should have used a shorter connector post or a l shape connector as well a more durable cable (like a Teflon coating like on the V-moda vibe type II. I don't know what more to say...The headset as far as sound is Great but the fun is short lived. I hated having to give them back but... Recommendation is to go in every month and trade up for a new set to make sure this doesn't happen to you!!!! Sorry Dre. but I have to speak the truth in hopes of you guys rectifying this issue in future releases. If you do so I will buy another set!!! February 20, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Made for Athletes! These Earphones had potential. They have pretty good design with fitted comfort, but were not made for athletes. One drop of sweat on the remote control and it stops working! You can't use them for any form of exercises were you will sweat, in other words, athletes can't use them at all! after all, weren't these earphones specifically targeted for athletes? It's ironic how the activity that these earphones target is exactly the cause for them to malfunction. False advertisement? September 29, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by BADDDD Was good for sport use until BOTH the earhooks on both sides broke off. -.- Never thought it could break so easily only after a couple of months! Really upset me. Still using it though, as the sound is still there except it gets loose sometimes. Now, the remote and the connection between the jack and wire is terrible. Just a little move of the remote and the connection it pauses/changes track/goes to voice control on my ipod/itunes on my laptop. Sometimes there is sound only from one side and I'll have to adjust the connection between the wire and jack to get it working right again. Really disappointed with the product. Looks good, but worst quality I've ever come across in earphones in my life. March 5, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by 2 Different Sets 2 Problems I bought of power beats excited to use for workouts, the first set I bought I had problems with the controls within day. I returned that set to get another set hoping my problems would be through, I was wrong, on the second set one of the earphones did not work. I returned that pair and bought a different brand. I wish the power beats worked because the setup is great, the performance was brutal though. Hopefully they work through the glitches and put out a better product. November 9, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unsure.... I just received my headphones today, and the moment I plugged them into my iPhone, I noticed that the left ear bud was rattling. [...] December 28, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sound great, durability is horrible!!!! This product definitely puts out good sound, which is what makes me disappointed. The construction is pretty bad. The controller is the biggest problem. I spend a lot of time in the gym and I'm also an avid runner. The controller freaks out after about 20 minutes of working out. It makes the music stop playing and/or activates voice control which also stops music play. Its also hit or miss whether volume control works. It stinks because I really want to like these headphones. Maybe if you don't plan on using this product for physical activities (which is what they claim to be designed for) you will be alright. Otherwise you will be better off spending $20 on a pair of sports headphones at [...]At least they don't stop your music spontaneously! January 2, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible construction/durability Purchased boxing day, from [...]. Loved them for about a week, on the way to gym for the first time with these (bus) left bud cut out. Fiddling with the left wire near the control talk remedied the problem till I moved my head, then it cut out again. Ruined an entire workout session. Returning ASAP for another brand, beware. Side note: wire looked like it was wearing out near the 3.5 mm connector piece and would have broken too. I am a gentle user, never had earbuds break on me before, including stock iPhone pair for 2 years. January 5, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor construction. I was disappointed after about 4 weeks of use when the left ear phone died, due to a broken wire inside the sleeve at the point it connects with the headphone jack. I'm a runner and need something more durable than this. Can't believe they market the earphones for sport use. January 16, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Pretty dissapointing Well, i compared it with my Android headphones from my Google Nexus One and the conclusion was that there was absolutely no sound difference ! Compared to the Tour, which gave lots of Bass, this one gives it hardly. I'm gonna to get my money back, because this is a huge waste. To anyone who wants in-ear phones, i suggest the tour instead of this fail. January 17, 2011
