Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed I've had these earphones for about 7 months and the problems with them have added up over time. About 2 months after getting them the in-line controls stopped working and 3 months after that the paint started to wear off. To be honest I rarely wear them now; I have bought many products from Beats before and these are the only ones that have disappointed me so far. February 14, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This product is not for sports I purchased these headphones just over a year ago so this review is based on real use for 15 months or so. I bought them for running and run maybe 15-20 miles a week so not a huge amount. I am now getting my third pair through the Warranty. That is great but that is not why I purchased these headphones - I wanted durable headphones with great sound. They have been really disappointing on the durability side and reasonable on the sound they produce. The Warranty will expire in 9 months and these headphones WILL break again - I have no doubt. There is a flaw with the ControlTalk mechanism as you run and sweat and sweat gets into the ControlTalk. I would expect these headphones at the price and advertised as Sport specific to last the course and these unfortunately do not. Really disappointed with the build quality and what happens when they break again after the 2 Year warranty expires? Beats - you need to fix the durability issue! February 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great sound, poor build quality These do really sound very good as sport earphones. They hold on to your ear quite steady too. But I was hugely disappointed and surprised with really poor build quality. The In-line remote button is so poorly designed - or maybe just over-designed. It is built loose and from poor quality plastic so one can hear it shaking while listening to music. It is also designed not ergonomically and when compared to practical and quality built button on genuine iPhone earphones, it is a huge contrast in usability. After a year of use (no sports) the cable started losing contact somewhere - In-line remote button stopped working and if the cable is not steady, there is a lot of noise coming out. But great sound! Rated 2 out of 5 by Excellent Sound poor Durability Recently upgraded to the PowerBeats when my UrBeats no longer worked after a year and half. Was looking forward to using my PowerBeats during my workouts. They offered great sound and comfort. When running the PowerBeats stayed in place and did not fall out as my previous Beats. Unfortunately the volume rocker no longer worked after a week and half. Returned them in exchange for a new pair. Within three workouts the volume rocker no longer worked on my 2nd set. The PowerBeats are described as sweat resistant, but found that is not the case and will return my 3rd pair in as little as two weeks. I would not recommend these for working out as they cannot withstand vigorous workouts. February 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by The earbud split in half after 1 month.. Great sound and operation features for 1 month. Then the earbud split when I pulled it out of my ear. Glad my adult children purchased the extended warranty. February 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor construction. I was disappointed after about 4 weeks of use when the left ear phone died, due to a broken wire inside the sleeve at the point it connects with the headphone jack. I'm a runner and need something more durable than this. Can't believe they market the earphones for sport use. January 16, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Pretty dissapointing Well, i compared it with my Android headphones from my Google Nexus One and the conclusion was that there was absolutely no sound difference ! Compared to the Tour, which gave lots of Bass, this one gives it hardly. I'm gonna to get my money back, because this is a huge waste. To anyone who wants in-ear phones, i suggest the tour instead of this fail. January 17, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Every Beat headphone is broken I got this to christmas last year. I was very happy because of the great bass and the fantastic sound. But after 2 weeks the left bud lost connection and the right didnt play any music. I was shocked, because i bought a solo hd before... and there was the same problem. They replaced the broken solo hd, but the next one was broken too!!! I couldnt believe that. After they sent the headphones in [...] Then I got a Studio. Im very happy with the Studio but there is the problem with the loose connection too. Perhaps you now think im a lil bit stupid, because i had this wish for christmas, but you know... if you ever heard to a beats headphone, you never would listen to another one...Greetings from Switzerland January 27, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by this headphones doesnt last i only use them for the gym and it last 2month ..this is the second time that earphones are bad you can hear only in one ear ...and it cost so much money and my warranty expire in 30 days:))))))) February 8, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sound is Awesome,Quality is Subpar I've given up on these. I've been through 3 pair since Dec 14 of 2010. I take very good care of ALL of my audio equipment but no matter what there no saving these pair from total destruct. Dre. Dropped the ball with this set on simple stuff. First off is the 3 prong connection in which it plugs into the set. The adapter piece is entirely too long and draws a lot of unwanted physical attention to it like a antenna. Second is the transition of the cable from a solid state to a limp soft cable. The cable cannot take friction (which defeats the purpose of these being for GYM useThey tend to react as a twist tie does when moving it back and forth a short time ( 3 days to a week) before they short out. They should have used a shorter connector post or a l shape connector as well a more durable cable (like a Teflon coating like on the V-moda vibe type II. I don't know what more to say...The headset as far as sound is Great but the fun is short lived. I hated having to give them back but... Recommendation is to go in every month and trade up for a new set to make sure this doesn't happen to you!!!! Sorry Dre. but I have to speak the truth in hopes of you guys rectifying this issue in future releases. If you do so I will buy another set!!! February 20, 2011
